May Day in Hawaii is also Lei Day. The first Lei Day was held on May 1, 1928. On this spring celebration day, festivals are held with hula, music, lei making demonstrations and exhibits. A lei represents the spirit of Aloha with its colorful flowers, hand craftsmanship and fragrance. It always brings a smile and joy to the giver and wearer. Happy May Day!
New Release – Laua’e
The Laua’e “fern” is one of the most beautiful and well known ferns throughout the Hawaiian islands. It is also one of the few indigenous to these islands. Hawaiians use it for scenting their kapa cloth or weaving with Hala (or pandanus) for lei making. Designed by Eddy Y.
In 3 base colors – crimson (shown above), navy and denim. Pullover or button down styles. In Spooner Kloth that’s wrinkle free and softens with each wash. A great addition to your May Day collection.
Summer Commemorative 2015

In 3 base colors – white (shown above), black and navy. Your choice of pullover or button front “Spooner Kloth” that’s wrinkle free and softens with each wash. Why not add to your collection or start a new tradition!

More of the Indigo Collection coming soon…
Hawaii, known for its vibrant tropical flowers, lush greenery and white sand beaches, but there’s a hue that is inescapable; the blues. From crisp sky blues yo deep ocean indigos, paradise is all about the blues.
For Cruise-Spring 2015, we created the Reyn Spooner Modern Collection using Japanese indigo fabrics, imported from Japan and hand-crafted with aloha right here in Hawaii.
Leave winter behind you, embrace the aloha spirit, and surround yourself with Reyn Spooner’s paradise blues.
When you step off a plane in Hawaii it hits you. You are in paradise. And the sweet smells that waft your way confirm it. Alfred Shaheen has interpreted this fragrant pikake jasmine flower in this old world floral aloha shirt.
