First Look: Reyn Spooner Spring/Summer 2012

Last week, Hawaiian label Reyn Spooner held a presentation for its Spring/Summer 2012 collection at Polynesian-themed restaurant Lani Kai located in the heart of SoHo. Before the steak burgers and wonton hors d’oeurves had even made a full rotation around the room, the venue was flooded with some of menswear’s most familiar faces including top editors, bloggers and stylists. Situated before a background of lush greenery and a lit fireplace, the models sported looks from the upcoming collection that included printed shirts, shorts, tees and linen bottoms. Paired with cool, stylish accessories from the likes of Garrett Leight and Miansai, the mixing and matching of the tropical-inspired casual pieces produced a solid collection that’s just as perfect for the sidewalks of NYC as it is for a day at the beach. - Adrian Brinkley

Reyn Spooner’s Iconic Spooner Kloth Shirt.

Featured

Introduced by Reyn Spooner in 1964, this traditional classic has become the oxford cloth of the islands. Inspired by the softened sun bleached look of the shirts worn by surfers Reyn turned his fabric inside out.  Combining the cool comfort of combed cotton and the wrinkle free properties of spun poly, Spooner Kloth is guaranteed to give years of wash-n-wear durability.
